DICKER DAYS IN FALLS: Newton Falls has brought back an old tradition with the annual Dicker Day 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at various stores in the village. Dicker Day started in the 1880s and ran until 1987. Local businesses and store owners will set up shop along the sidewalks on Broad Street and people interested in items gab, haggle or “dicker” the price down. The village also is hosting a community-wide garage sale today through Sunday.

TALK WITH A TRUSTEE: The Brookfield Township trustees will host a “Talk with a Trustee” 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Masury pocket park at the corner of Mulberry and First streets.

ADDRESS PLATES: The Bristol Fire Department will have reflective address plates at $10 each available 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the fire department, 2100 Greenville Road NW, during its open house. The event also will include the kickoff of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign at 10 a.m., free food and antique fire truck display from National Fire and Water Repair. There also will be displays and representatives from Trumbull Emergency Management Agency, Trumbull County HazMat, Safe Kids Coalition, University Hospital, Mecca Dog Team, and Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office. There also will be free giveaways. The fire department has been at its current location since 2011.

MEET PETE THE SNAKE: Mosquito Lake State Park will host a nature program 10 a.m. Wednesday at the campground amphitheater for a program on invasive species and a chance to meet Pete, the ball python.

ABILITY WALK AND ROLL: A celebration of the many abilities of individuals with developmental disabilities will take place during the inaugural Ability Walk & Roll 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Eastwood Field in Niles. The Ability Walk & Roll was created to promote inclusion, acceptance and respect for people of all abilities. The evening will include a special walk and roll around Eastwood Field in celebration. Other activities include games, face painting, informational exhibits, complimentary refreshments and a movie under the stars. Bring a blanket to experience the movie on Eastwood Field or relax in stadium seating.

MUSIC DUO: The Christian music duo Mercy Rains with Jenah Shank and Mark Mecozzi, will share an evening of praise and reflection 7 p.m. today at Red Door Ministry, 759 E. Liberty St. Ext., Hubbard. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is free. The Red Door was established by Tim and Vicki DeTal of Hermitage, Pa., and is a ministry with a coffeehouse atmosphere. Shank and Mecozzi are among several music artists who have been featured at the Red Door in the past. Mecozzi is an accomplished guitarist, and Shank has written and recorded several songs.

OPEN HOUSE: Braceville Historical Society will host an open house 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the township hall. The society will have various items displayed on the history of the township.
